The ability to trade certain instruments could be restricted due to the Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPs) regulation that came into effect on 1st January 2018, which requires financial product “manufacturers” to produce Key Information Documents (KIDs) for each product they produce, and disclose the key features of the product across risk, rewards and costs.
For a number of ETFs, Bonds, Futures, FX and Options instruments, the manufacturer/issuer has chosen not to issue a KID. The effect is that Saxo is no longer in the position to facilitate trading of those instruments to Retail clients.
The message "Exposure cannot be increased due to instrument configuration" will appear, if you place an order for mentioned instruments:
You can check if an instrument has the required KIDs in the trading conditions under Trading rates > Key Information Document.
