A HIN is a Holder Identification number. It is used to identify an individual’s holdings on the ASX CHESS Registry. HIN is only applicable to Australian residents holding Australian Stocks.
If you hold a Saxo HIN account, your international shares are held in custody.
You can perform securities (Stocks, Bonds, ETPs) transfers to or from Saxo via any of the Saxo trading platforms ( SaxoTraderGO, SaxoTraderPRO and SaxoInvestor).
- To begin a transfer of your portfolio positions, click the Menu > Deposits and transfers > Portfolio transfer
Types of transfers made through HIN account:
- International transfers (custody - custody)
- SRN transfers (Issuer Sponsor account)
- Domestic transfers (HIN to HIN or HIN to Custody)
Requirements: 1. When you enter a transfer request to Saxo via the platform, you will be presented with the option to download a Stock Transfer form (ST form). We recommend to print, sign and upload a scanned copy of the form so we can present to your Broker and we strongly suggest you to contact them to fulfil their administrative requirements to transfer. 2. Only wet signatures are allowed on the Stock Transfer form (no electronic signatures) 3. Provide your POI (Proof of Identity) 4. In case of SRN Transfers, make sure you also attach Holding Statement along with ST form and POI. |
