All retail clients take an appropriateness test either during the account opening process or when enabling new instruments to determine which products should be enabled on the account.
This is especially important when considering more complex products such as leveraged instruments. If the outcome of this assessment is that complex products are inappropriate for you to invest in, you will be notified.
How to take the test
The test needs to be taken directly from the trading platform. You can take the test when enabling a new product from the product settings page:
- SaxoTraderGO: click Trading products
You can also re-take the test by clicking on the message at the top of the trade ticket
By clicking on the disclaimer, you will be directed to the assessment which consists of a handful of questions, and once complete, the results will be automatically processed and we will notify you of the result.
How to re-take the test
You can retake the test by following the link in the trade ticket (as above). Alternatively, if you need to enable new products follow the below steps:
- Enable products by navigating to Menu > Settings > Trading Products
- Click the Enable button for the desired product
- If this is a complex product, you will be promoted to take the appropriateness test
