You can perform securities transfers to and from your online Saxo account by navigating to the Deposits and Transfers module on your trading platform:
- SaxoTraderGO: click Portfolio transfer
- SaxoTraderPRO: click menu > Deposits and transfers > Portfolio transfer
To complete the transfer request you will need to provide the following information:
- Whether you are requesting a transfer in or out of your Saxo account
- Which Saxo account you intend the transfer to be received into or sent from
- The name of the Bank/Broker that will be sending or receiving the instruments
- Contact details at the other Bank/Broker; name, phone number, email address
- Account number at the other counterparty that the securities will be coming from or being sent to
- Which securities you intend to transfer (find them by searching in the 'Find Instrument' field)
- The quantity of securities, the price to be shown in the platform and the purchase date if applicable
Once you have submitted the security transfer online make sure you print, sign and send to your bank/broker a scanned copy of the online request you have made with Saxo, as the actual time to complete the process will vary depending on the speed at which your bank responds and complies with our request. |
After submitting the request from your Saxo platform, it is necessary to raise the same request from your broker account as well.
The transfer of securities can take 6 to10 weeks, however, it might take longer in certain cases.
To complete the transfer request from your brokerage account, you need to provide the following information:
