You can fund your account in a currency other than the account currency, however, a conversion fee will be added which can vary depending on your region.
The fee is calculated by using the mid-spread FX spot rate at the time of transfer, plus/minus the conversion fee. Read more here: Currency Conversion Fees
When depositing or withdrawing, if the currency of the sending account is different to the receiving account (e.g. if you send GBP from a GBP bank account to a USD denominated Saxo account), you may be charged a conversion fee by third parties, such as an intermediary bank. This is outside of Saxo’s control and we cannot advise you how much this may be in each case.
Additionally, if the sending and receiving accounts are not both GBP denominated, it is possible that the payment may be considered an international payment by third parties, such as intermediary banks, and you may be charged accordingly. As above, this is outside of Saxo’s control and we cannot advise you how much this may be in each case.
