Sometimes you may need to terminate one Saxo account and open a new account with Saxo Singapore office (Saxo Capital Markets Pte Ltd). Or you may need to close your Saxo Singapore account and open a new Saxo account in other regions. After your new account is opened, you can transfer shares between the two Saxo accounts/IDs.
Please note that not all positions can be transferred due to different regulations. Some products may be allowed to trade in one region while it's not allowed in another region.
You will need to initiate two transfer requests on the platform:
- Step One: Transfer-out request from the old account
- Step Two: Transfer-in request from the new Saxo account
Step One
Log in to your old account and go to the portfolio transfer module:
- SaxoTraderGO: click Portfolio transfer
- SaxoInvestor: click Portfolio transfer
Or,
- Go to the main menu > Deposits and transfer > Portfolio transfer > New transfer
You need to:
- Choose Outgoing transfers
- At "External Bank/Broker", enter the information of your new Saxo account (where the shares will go to). You can copy the info under the screenshot below.
- Find which shares you intend to transfer (find them by searching in the search field).
- Enter the quantity of securities and the price to be shown in the platform.
New Saxo account information:
- Saxo name: You can find it on your new account's Account Statement. If your new account is with Saxo Singapore, the name is Saxo Capital Markets Pte Ltd. If your new account is with Saxo Denmark (our HQ), the name is Saxo Bank.
- Contact person: Stock Transfer
- Contact Phone Number: +911244872374
- Contact Email address: bost-ssc@saxobank.com
- Your account number with Saxo: You will see the account number under Portfolio in your new account. Normally it starts with 33888 for Singapore account. Please choose the right account when you have different currency accounts. If you have renamed the account and cannot see the account number, e.g. the EUR account in the screenshot below, you can go into the EUR account and click the ... three dots icon to see the account ID/number.
After you have submitted the outgoing request, you will see a confirmation that your transfer has been initiated.
Step Two:
Next, very important, please login your new Saxo account and request to transfer IN. The steps are very similar to the above.
The "External Bank/Broker" is your old Saxo account info (where the shares come from), e.g. Saxo Capital Markets Hong Kong Limited.
Saxo Hong Kong information:
- Saxo's full name: Saxo Capital Markets Hong Kong Limited
- Contact person: Stock Transfer
- Contact Phone Number: +911244872374
- Contact Email address: bost-ssc@saxobank.com
- Your account number with Saxo Hong Kong: Normally it starts with 16888. Please enter the right account number if you have multiple currency accounts.
If your old account is not with Saxo Capital Markets Hong Kong, but with another Saxo entity, you can see the full Saxo entity name on your Account Statement report.
All the other information (contact person/number/email) is the same for all Saxo entities.
After you submit both the outgoing and incoming transfer requests, we will start the transfer process. You won't be able to place new orders on the positions. Normally it takes about 5-10 working days to complete the transfer.
