Subscribe to live market prices

Please note that your account needs to be funded before you can subscribe to live data.

You can subscribe to live market prices from your account:

• SaxoTrader: click Subscribe to market data
• SaxoInvestor*: click Subscribe to market data
• SaxoTrader desktop: click Main Menu > Subscribe for market data

Then:

1. Select Stock Exchanges or Futures & Options
2. Find the relevant Exchange and click Subscribe
3. Read, fill and accept the subscription agreement with the Exchange.

After successfully subscribing to the exchange, you will typically see live data within a few minutes to a few hours, but no later than 24 hours.

Subscription fees are charged monthly and deducted from your main/master account if you have multiple sub-accounts. For subscriptions with an expiry date (mainly the U.S. ones), they will be renewed automatically each month before that date. Subscriptions without an expiry date will continue on a rolling monthly basis until you cancel.

Note that subscriptions are paid for each calendar month, which means that even if you subscribed in the middle of the month, you will be charged for the whole month. The fee will be deducted on the next day after you subscribe if you choose to subscribe in the middle of the month.

Free live data on US and European stocks

When you subscribe to receive real-time data on Level 1 US and European stocks, you will need to select whether you are a non-professional (private) or professional user. As a non-professional user, you can access this data for free, with eligible stocks marked as "Free," such as "U.S. Stocks", as shown in the screenshot below.

U.S. Stocks provides the same coverage as "Nasdaq, NYSE, AMEX, ARCA (Nasdaq Basic)".

If you select professional user status, a fee applies. Detailed definitions to help you determine your user status are available after you click "Subscribe".

Subscriptions to the U.S. exchanges expire every nine months (subject to exchange rules). You will receive a reminder before the expiry date via the trading platform and/or email.

Other than the U.S. exchanges, if you are not sure which exchange to subscribe to, you can check this guide: Which exchange should I subscribe to?

Trade and get the subscription fee refunded

For clients who trade equities and subscribe to real-time market data, Saxo Markets has introduced a refund scheme where fees are refunded per exchange should clients trade a minimum of four (4) times across stocks, ETFs or CFDs (where the underlying instruments are listed on the respective exchange) during each calendar month.

For the Australian Securities Exchange, the minimum is six (6) trades.

Refunds are only applicable for non-professional clients subscribing to level 1 data, except for the Australian Securities Exchange where the refund applies to level 2 data.

The definition of non-professional and professional subscribers may vary by exchange. Refunds are calculated on a monthly basis but paid out on a quarterly basis.

When unsubscribing... *

In order to avoid fees for the next month, you must cancel the subscriptions within the current month.

Consequently, you will receive live prices from the exchange until the end of the calendar month despite unsubscribing.

* If you are not planning to use an account for time being, please cancel your subscriptions in order to avoid unnecessary charges.
