You can mark supported devices as trusted to make logging in faster and easier. Once a device is trusted, you won’t need to complete two-factor authentication every time you log in from that device.
Browser logins can no longer be marked as trusted. Read more about "Important update to browser login security".

Important update to browser login security
Your security is a top priority for Saxo. To further strengthen the protection of your account and transactions, the “Trust this device” option will no longer be available when logging in through a browser, such as Google Chrome, Safari or Microsoft Edge.
For browser logins, you will be asked to complete two-factor authentication using either an SMS code or a push notification on your linked mobile device.
For a smoother login experience, we recommend using the Saxo apps instead of logging in through a browser. By linking your mobile device in the app, you can conveniently approve future logins via push notifications.
Logging in and trusting a new device
- Log in by entering your User ID and Password and click Continue.
- When logging in from a new device, you will be asked to verify:
-
- If you already have the Saxo app on your phone enabled with Face ID, your fingerprint or device PIN: Approve the login by clicking the push notification sent to you.
-
If you don’t have the Saxo app on your phone: Approve the login using the verification code sent to you by SMS and click Verify.
-
- You now have two options:
- If you choose to trust the device (not possible for web browser), SMS/push notifications will not be needed in the future to log in with the same device.
- If you choose not to trust the device, you will have to verify with SMS/push notifications upon every login on the device.
- After making your selection, click Continue to SaxoTrader/SaxoInvestor to log in.
Push notifications
To get push notifications, you must first enable Face ID, fingerprint or device PIN on your Saxo app.
Missing push notifications
If you do not receive any push notifications when logging in, please make sure that push notifications are enabled on your phone or tablet. Click Enable push notifications in the login process for guidance on how to do it on your device.
Otherwise, you can receive an SMS with a code by clicking Receive notification as SMS.
Changing your account phone number
If your registered phone number has changed, you can reset your password.
Otherwise, change your phone number and update your details.
Replacing trusted devices
Trusted device limit
A maximum of 6 trusted devices are allowed associated with your account. However, you can always log in from any device without replacing trusted devices, but two-factor authentication will be needed.
If you try to trust a 7th device, you will have to replace one of your existing trusted devices. You can replace a trusted device by selecting it and clicking Edit and then Replace and continue.
Rename your trusted device
After verifying, you can choose to rename the device, and we recommend doing so as it provides clarity for future use. To do so press Edit > choose the desired name > press Save.
Why is my trusted device no longer recognised?
A trusted device may need to be reverified if:
- Access via web browsers cannot be trusted anymore.
- The operating system has been reinstalled.
- Hardware changes have been made to your device.
- Login security settings have changed.
- The device has been removed from your trusted device list.
If this happens, simply verify the device again and mark it as trusted as described above.
Removing trusted devices
Trusted devices can be removed by logging in and doing the following:
- SaxoTrader: Click on Login & System Info > Manage devices > Edit > Remove
- SaxoInvestor: Click on Login & System Info > Manage devices > Edit > Remove
-
SaxoTrader for desktop: Click on My Profile
> Platform settings > Login & System Info > Manage devices > Edit > Remove
If you want to add the device back in the future, you will need to go through the two-factor authentication process again to trust the device.
