Yes, you can grant access to your account by giving someone else authorisation. The person who is granted access will get a separate login ID to get access to your account.
A letter of authorisation (LoA) is an authorisation that the account holder gives to a designated person to get access to the account and perform certain actions such as trading.
The LoA can be given to:
- Spouse
- Parents
- Siblings
- Children (must have reached adulthood)
The LoA may also be given to financial advisor or accountant. Do note that this process is only to give access to a person, not a company/organization.
The LoA application form can be downloaded here.
The form needs to be filled, printed, signed and submitted on the platform along with a proof of identity (Driving license or Passport) of the person who is going to be given the access. The proof of identity must contain a signature sample.
How to submit the documents on platform:
- Login to the Contact us module here
- Click Write to us > Personal information and documents > submit documents
- Attach the form, along with a proof of identity such as driving license and submit the request
- Please chat with us or call us to let us know you have submitted the documents so we can process it as soon as possible
View-only access
Alternatively, Account View Only is also available. If your goal is to only allow the person to view your account and not take actions like trading, you can ask for view-only access for the person. Please contact us for more details.
Authorise a company/organization
If you want to authorise a company/organization to have access to your account, please check with the organization if it already has an authorisation agreement with Saxo. If it does, the organization shall be able to provide you with the right Saxo form to fill in and handle your request. If it doesn't, it cannot be granted access to your account.
If the organization wants to have an authorisation agreement with Saxo to handle accounts like yours, it can contact our relevant team here.
In the case that you need the organization to handle your reports/tax occasionally, you can download reports from Saxo platform easily and send the reports to it.
If your employer needs to know your account activities (trades) and it doesn't have an authorisation agreement with Saxo, you can request Saxo to send electronic trade confirmations to your employer. Every time you do a trade, your employer will be informed.
