Who can open an account with Saxo?
We welcome clients from a wide range of countries. During the initial step of the account opening process, you will be asked to select your country of residence. If your country is not listed, we are currently unable to open an account for you.
Is there a minimum funding amount?
In most countries, no minimum funding is required to open a private individual or joint account at Saxo and get access to our platforms. You will need to fund your account to begin investing.
Please visit your local Saxo to confirm if minimum funding requirements apply to your country of residence.
What documents are required to open an account?
To open an account with Saxo Bank, you will need to provide certain information and documents to verify your identity and comply with current regulations.
Here are the required documents for most applicants:
- National ID number from your country of citizenship
- Proof of identity document (e.g., passport, ID card, driver’s licence) This document must be valid and up to date.
- Selfie (taken with a mobile phone) to confirm you match the ID provided
Depending on your country of residence, we may also require:
- Tax ID number from your country of residence
