Sending money to your Saxo account (deposits)
Instant Funding
Funds deposited via Instant Funding (open banking) are credited within seconds and available to trade immediately. Occasionally, payments may take a few minutes or require additional checks.
Exception: Deposits from Chase, TSB, or Wise may take up to 24 hours to appear in your account.
Debit card
Card deposits are credited instantly. It's not possible to fund ISA accounts by Debit/Credit card
Domestic bank transfer
Domestic GBP bank transfers are credited to your Saxo account with the value date chosen by the sending bank, and generally take 1–2 business days.
International transfer or foreign currency transfer
Cross-border transfers or transfers in a currency other than GBP typically take 2–5 business days. The additional time may be due to intermediary banks being required to clear or convert the funds, or additional compliance checks.
Avoid unnecessary delays: When making a bank transfer, always use the Local bank details shown in the deposit module. This avoids routing through intermediary banks and prevents conversion fees. See How do I fund my account? for the full bank details.
Sending money from your Saxo account (withdrawals)
Domestic bank transfer
Withdrawal requests submitted before 14:00 CET are processed the next business day (T+1). Requests submitted after 14:00 CET are processed T+2. Actual receipt depends on the receiving bank’s handling time.
International transfer or foreign currency withdrawal
International and foreign currency withdrawals involve multiple parties and may take longer. Factors affecting the value date include:
- Incorrect payment details (e.g. mismatch between IBAN and account number)
- Full account withdrawals requiring fee calculations, or settlement of open positions
- Unsettled transactions from recent trades
- Correspondent banks’ handling time
Full account withdrawal
If you’re withdrawing your entire account balance, allow up to three additional business days. The requested amount may be temporarily reserved while monthly costs, interest, and any open positions are calculated and settled.
Month-end withdrawals: Saxo deducts monthly fees at the start of each month. If you request a withdrawal at month-end, allow a couple of extra days for fee processing.
Recently sold positions? Proceeds from selling shares are not immediately available to withdraw — you need to wait for settlement, typically T+2. Check the Value date in your Trades report to confirm when funds will be available.
If funds haven’t arrived
Deposits not received after 5 business days
- Check with your bank first. Your bank should be able to track the payment and confirm it was sent.
- Contact Saxo. If the payment was sent but hasn’t arrived, write to us and include the SWIFT MT103 message your bank can provide — this allows us to trace the transfer.
Withdrawals not received after 5 business days
If you haven’t received your withdrawal within 5 business days of receiving our withdrawal confirmation email, write to us.
🔍 Track a specific transfer To check the status of a recent deposit or withdrawal inside your platform, see What is the status of my cash transfer? — including how to use the SWIFT GPI tracker for international payments.
