You choose which products you can see and trade on Saxo, such as stocks, ETFs, options and CFDs. The steps are the same on SaxoInvestor and SaxoTrader.
To turn a product on
- Log in and select your profile icon to open the main menu.
- Under Settings, select Trading products.
- Find the product you want and select to Enable in the Action column.
- For complex products, you’ll be asked to take a short test first (see below). Once you’ve passed, the product appears straight away.
To turn a product off, select disable in the action column .
Complex products need a short test
To see complex products, including all derivatives (CFDs, futures and options) and some complex cash products, you need to pass the Product knowledge test, also called the Appropriateness Test. It checks that you understand the risks. You only need to pass it once. Read more in What is the Appropriateness Test?
You have two attempts. If you don’t pass, you’ll need to wait 24 hours before trying again.
If you can’t see a product
- Check you’ve passed the test for it.
- If you didn’t pass, wait 24 hours and try again.

Please note: Some products, including CFDs, Futures and certain Options products, are only available on SaxoTrader. Access may also depend on market availability, account permissions or completion of the Appropriateness Test.
