Will this change affect existing deposits or just new ones?
It applies to all positive cash balances in the affected tiers from 1 November 2025, regardless of when the funds were deposited. Existing deposits are included.
How will this impact my account balance over time?
If you’re in the Classic or Platinum tiers, then your positive cash balance will no longer accrue interest from 1 November 2025, so your cash balance will not increase due to interest after that date. Account changes will only reflect your trading results, fees, deposits/withdrawals, and any debit interest, if applicable. Clients on our VIP tier are unaffected and continue to earn interest at their prevailing rates.
Are sub-accounts included?
Yes. All cash sub-accounts and all currencies under an account in the affected tiers will accrue 0% interest on positive balances from 1 November 2025.
What happens to my interest payments accrued prior to 1 November 2025?
Interest on positive balances accrued up to and including 31 October 2025 will be calculated at the current applicable rates and posted on the usual schedule. No previously accrued interest is forfeited.
Will historical interest earned still be visible in my account statements?
Yes. Past interest accruals and postings remain visible in your statements and reports, subject to the platform’s standard statement availability and retention periods.
Does this change affect margin accounts or collateralized cash balances?
The change only affects the interest paid on positive cash. If you’re in the Classic or Platinum tiers, then any positive cash held in a margin-enabled account, including cash used as collateral, will earn 0% interest from 1 November 2025. Margin financing rates, debit (negative) balance interest, and the collateral framework (eligibility, haircuts, valuations) are unchanged and remain as set out in the rate card and General Business Terms.
How can I check which account tier I have?
You can view your current tier in the platform: click -> Settings -> Other -> Saxo rewards
Can I upgrade my account to receive interest?
You may be eligible to upgrade to VIP based on criteria such as funding levels and activity. Eligibility and availability depend on your account and jurisdiction. If upgraded, the prevailing tier rates apply from the effective date of the tier change and are not applied retroactively.
