No fees are charged for holding an account with Saxo Bank A/S unless the account has been inactive for a prolonged period of time, in which case an inactivity fee applies.
What's the inactivity fee?
Regardless of whether you are already holding positions or not, at Saxo Bank A/S accounts with no trading activity during a period of 6 consecutive months (180 days) an inactivity fee of up to USD 150* or equivalent in the account currency will be charged.

What if I have zero cash balance and decide to fund my account after more than 180 days of inactivity?
We grant a grace period of 30 days after the account refund before charging the inactivity fee.
In other words, you must perform a trading activity (see below) within 30 days to avoid an inactivity fee.
What is considered a trading activity to avoid an inactivity fee?
- A trade executed (Opened, closed, or reduced position)
OR one of the below :
- Stock / Bonds transfer to Saxo
- Futures Expiry
- Exercise of FX Option
- Stock Options Expiry
- Corporate Actions (regardless of the asset class) that result in a position
- Bonds Maturity
- Barrier Event (FX option)

You can always check latest trading activities by clicking on MyProfile in the top right corner > Account Statement. Please note that if you have multiple subaccounts, you would have to check specific subaccounts.
