How do I request to close my account?
If you decide to close your account with Saxo, you can do so from within our platforms:
- SaxoTrader: Click Close my account
- SaxoInvestor: Click Close my account

SaxoTrader desktop: Click
> Request account services > Close my account
You can close your account when the following has been completed:
- You have closed all your open positions (trades). (How to close or reduce a position?)
- You have cancelled all your open orders. (How do I cancel an order?)
- You have withdrawn any cash left in your account. Click Transfer funds to send funds to your registered account. (How do I withdraw funds?)
- You have downloaded all relevant account and trading reports (recommended). (Where can I find my account reports?)

Note When you close positions, you will have to wait until the cash is available to be withdrawn, usually 2 business days later. |

Be aware If you do not withdraw all cash from your account, your account cannot be closed, resulting in additional fees after a certain period of time. Read more about our fees. |
How do I close one of my sub-accounts?
If you need to close one of your sub-accounts:
- Click on Portfolio tab at the top.
- Select the currency account that you want to close.
- Click on the three dots icon
in the top-right corner.
- Select Close this account.
To close your sub-account, there should be no open positions, orders, outstanding corporate actions or cash balance.

Note This feature is only for sub-accounts and cannot be used to close your master account. Please follow the instructions at the top of the article to close your master account. |
