NOTE: Saxo does not accept payments from accounts or cards that are not in your name (3rd party payments). Any payments made by a third party will be returned to the source card or bank account. Transfers made in different currencies will be eligible for a currency conversion. |
Fund with bank transfer
To deposit cash via bank transfer, you will need to use the information provided in the bank transfer module. The bank's banking details are easy to copy right inside the module.
- Click on the box Bank transfer.
- Select the Saxo account ID you want to fund.
- Follow the instructions listed.
Does your bank support SEPA instant?
SEPA instant deposits into your Saxo account of up to EUR 100K are processed immediately. This applies to deposits in Euros within the EU region and your bank must be opted in for SEPA instant transfers. Read more about SEPA instant transfers here.
Please note, SEPA instant transfers are not applicable to tax wrapper or pension account transfers.

Deposit with Quick Payment
This is only possible from Danish banks. We are working on making this available in more countries. |
You can connect your Saxo account with your Danish bank account, which will give you an easier option to fund your account by making a Quick Payment. In order to deposit with Quick Payment, you must have your Saxo account linked to the bank account from which you want to transfer money.
To link your Saxo account to your bank account:
- SaxoTraderGO: Click Quick payment
- SaxoInvestor*: Click Quick payment
- SaxoTraderPRO: Click on the main menu > Deposits and transfers > Deposit funds > Quick payment
Then click to connect a new bank account and follow the necessary steps. (MitID will be required to authenticate this process.)
If you have already deposited money from your bank account to your Saxo account, the bank account has already been linked to your Saxo account.
To make deposits with Quick Payment:
- Select the associated bank account from which you want to transfer money.
- Select the Saxo account to which you wish to deposit an amount.
- Click on 'Send'.
- Complete the payment by logging in and confirming with MitID.
It is also important to note that:

Card Funding
- Choose the card type that you wish to use followed by the amount you would like to transfer.
- Enter the card details: card number, card owner’s name, expiry date, security code (CVV/CVC) and billing address. You can then complete the transfer by clicking ‘Make Payment’.

Currencies accepted at Saxo
Saxo allows you to open accounts in different currencies. You can read about opening sub-accounts in different currencies here.

This can be done after the initial funding from your country of residence has been received and booked.
