Commission credit is a monetary amount in your account currency, shown as a separate balance you can monitor.
Simply place trades and pay the usual trading fees upfront. We'll automatically use the commission credit to reimburse you for eligible fees at the end of each trading day until the credit runs out or expires.
You can use commission credit to cover brokerage costs on trades of all products except FX, FX options, and CFD indices.
How to use commission credit?
You don't need to take any special action to utilize your commission credit. If your account hasa commission credit, it will be automatically applied.
When trading products that incur commission fees-such as stocks, ETFs, futures, and bonds, your commission credit will come into play. Initially, you will pay the trading fees upon executing a trade. At the end of the day, we will refund any commission costs covered by your credit balance. The refund will be in the currency of your main account.
To view your credit balance and refunds on our platforms, follow the steps below:
SaxoTraderGO web version
In the Trading tab > Click the "i" in the bottom left corner to view Account Details > Under Details, see Commission credit.
Click on Portfolio > Select an account/All accounts > In the Overview, click Cash > See Commission credit.
SaxoTraderGO Mobile App:
In the Trading tab at the bottom > Select Summary on the top > Click the three dots icon to view Account Details > See Commission credit.
Click on Portfolio > Select an account/All accounts > In the Overview, click Cash > See Commission credit.
SaxoInvestor
Click on Portfolio > Select an account > In the Overview, click Cash > See Commission credit.
SaxoTraderPRO
Click Add module and select Account summary > click the 'i' icon > in the pop-up window you will see your credit balance under Account value.
Please note: Your commission credit balance will only be visible in the platform if you have any. When you click the number at Commission credit you will see the Expiry date.
Can I use my commission credit to pay for other fees?
You can only use the credit to cover commission fees paid to Saxo for placing a trade.
Can I use my commission credit to buy stocks?
No, the credit don’t cover the value of the stock, only commission fees connected to the purchase of the stock.
Can I cash out my commission credit?
No. Your commission credit cannot be withdrawn. If you have any commission credit you don’t use by the expiration date, you will lose it.
