A sub-account can be added to your main Saxo account and it can be in a different currency.
Example
Your main account's currency is EUR and you are going to trade on the US markets, you might want to have a sub-account in USD to save on conversion costs.
This is the path to get to the sub-account request module (Requires login), once there simply follow the instructions:
- SaxoTrader: click Request currency sub-account
- SaxoInvestor: click Request currency sub-account
-
SaxoTrader desktop: click
> Request new accounts > Request currency sub-account
With a Classic account, you can open up to 4 sub-accounts (Note that this might not apply to all countries).
Be aware:
- We do allow you to trade cash products (e.g. stocks) from a sub-account with no sufficient cash if other sub-accounts have enough cash for the trade, however, that will generate a negative balance in your sub-account and result in interests being charged.
- When you deposit funds into a sub-account, please check the funding instructions. The sub-account might have a different bank account number than the main account. Please refer to How do I fund my account?
