The Portfolio View shows the current real-time Account Value. It includes security price movements, security transfers, other bookings, and foreign exchange currency movements on securities denominated in another currency other than Account Currency.
Using the figures in the screenshot above, the Account Value is the sum of Cash, Value of Positions and Total accruals
Account Value = Cash + Value of positions + Total accruals
The formula of Account Value can be understood in more detail:
- The Cash on the account that includes Cash balance and Transaction not booked
- Plus the market value of any Stocks, Bonds, Options, ETFs and other funds.
- Plus or minus the value of any unrealized profits or losses from open margin positions (CFDs, FX and Futures) on the account
- Cost to close, such as commission, exchange fees, stamp duty etc.
- The Total accruals which includes the financing accruals and corporate actions accruals
