Additional information on AutoInvest
Order execution
AutoInvest orders are set to be executed on the 5th of each month. However, this may change due to holidays, weekends, or, for example, technical reasons at Saxo. Orders can be placed at any time before the market closes. Saxo strives to execute orders based on quantitative criteria but does not guarantee execution, especially during significant market movements or due to other factors.
Order deviations and investment amounts
The amount allocated to each instrument may differ from the purchased amount due to market fluctuations and operational conditions. The margin typically varies from 0-2.5%.
The smaller your investment, the greater the deviation from the chosen investment allocation. Saxo executes orders one by one, independently of the individual portfolio. This means you risk some investments not being executed if you do not have enough funds in your AutoInvest. To avoid this, ensure that your monthly investment amount covers the investments you have selected. Larger recurring deposits generally lead to more precise investment allocations and order executions compared to smaller deposits.
Each monthly investment is unique
Each monthly investment under AutoInvest is treated as a new investment, and Saxo does not take into account the instruments bought in the previous investment. We strongly recommend that you monitor your investment allocation regularly and update your AutoInvest accordingly.
Updating your AutoInvest
You can update your AutoInvest on an ongoing basis. Saxo recommends that you adjust it in response to material changes in the underlying instruments (e.g. prices or structure). However, order execution is based on a snapshot of your AutoInvest. Avoid changing your AutoInvest on the execution day; we recommend doing so before the market opens.
Does Saxo receive distribution fees from the providers of the investment funds and ETFs I invest in via my AutoInvest?
Yes, Saxo Bank receives distribution fees from certain providers of financial products, such as investment funds and ETFs, via AutoInvest when you trade these products. This means that when you invest in these products, part of the costs you pay is returned to Saxo Bank in the form of a distribution fee. Distribution fees are not an additional cost to you; they are part of the price you pay to invest in a product. You can read more about distribution fees on our website at Home.saxo.
