What is the 'Current' price?
For stocks, ETFs, futures and CFDs on ETFs/stocks, the current price reflects the last traded price of the instrument (see table below for other products).
The current price can vary depending on whether you are subscribed to live prices.
When the markets are closed, the current price is the last traded price received from the extended hours of trading.

The table below describes which price is used in the Current column of the Positions module.

*In cases where the latest Last traded price (or in rare cases the End of day price) of the instrument is outside of Bid/Ask quotes, we will price the position using the closer between Bid or the Ask price.
Example:
- Client has a long position of an ETF
- Last traded: $105
- Bid/Ask: $101/$102
- Current price (Reference price) in positions module will be the Ask: $102
Why are the Current prices in Positions and Product overview/Charts different?
When the market is closed, it is possible to see a difference in the prices shown in the different platform modules.
- The Last traded prices that can be found in the Product overview, Trade ticket, Screener and Watchlist show the last price including Closing Auctions uncrossing from the previous day.
- The Last traded may show theoretical *uncrossing prices from auctions for stocks listed either on: (Note: more exchanges may be added in the future)
- Euronext markets incl. Borsa Italiana and Oslo
- Deutsche Börse
- London Stock Exchange
- Nasdaq OMX (Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm)
- Australian Securities Exchange
- The last traded price from Product Overview must be considered always when you trade.
| *An uncrossing price is the price at which an auction in a financial market is settled. It is the price that matches the highest volume of buy and sell orders in the auction. |
