Due to regulatory requirements in some regions, clients must use two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging in. After you enter the user ID and password and log in, the one-time-password (OTP) received on your mobile phone is also required. If you can't receive the SMS OTP, we recommend you use the Microsoft Authenticator to receive the verification code to log in to the trading platform. Please be aware that using Authenticator to login needs approval from Saxo first.
The following is a detailed description of the steps for clients to setup Microsoft Authenticator to log in to the trading platform:
- Download and install Microsoft Authenticator
If you are using an iOS system, you can download and install it directly after searching for Microsoft Authenticator in the Apple App Store (the app name is as shown below):
If you are using an Android system, please open Baidu Search Browser on your mobile phone to search for "Microsoft Authenticator"> click "Normal Download" and install (the search method is as shown below):
- Use Microsoft Authenticator and log in to the platform
If you log in through the web version of the platform (for the mobile version of the platform please skip directly to the next section):
1) After entering the user ID and password and clicking login, you will see the following pop-up;
2) Open Microsoft Authenticator, and click [Add Account]> [Other Accounts (Google, Facebook, etc.)];
3) Use Microsoft Authenticator to scan the QR Code of the web platform and add an account;
4) Click on the newly added account (Saxo Capital Markets HK Limited as shown in the picture above), you can see the OTP code (e.g.498518 in the picture below), enter it into the input box directly below the QR code of the platform, and click [OK] to log in.
5) Tip: After completing the first registration, when logging in again, just enter the OTP code to log in (as shown below).
If you log in from the mobile platform:
1) After entering the user ID and password and clicking login, you will see the following pop-up. Press [COPY CODE] to copy the long identification code above the button;
2) Open Microsoft Authenticator, and click [Add Account]> [Other Accounts (Google, Facebook, etc.)];
3) Click [or manually enter the code] below, enter any user name in the first field, and copy the identification code copied in step 1) into the second field by long pressing, and click [Finish] to add the account ；
4) Click on the newly added account (Saxo Capital Markets HK Limited as shown in the picture above), you can see the one-time password code (e.g.498518 in the picture below), enter it into the input box directly below the QR code of the platform, and click [OK] to log in.
5) Tip: After completing the first registration, when logging in again, just enter the OTP code to log in (as shown below).
